As of our last check on 19 August 2026, Starsand Island has no publicly verifiable active codes. Independent code trackers — Eurogamer, VG247, Rock Paper Shotgun, Gamezebo, GameWatcher, Dexerto, G2A, and UrGameTips — reported zero active public codes from February through 9 August 2026, and the official 1.0 launch announcements on 18 August did not publish one either. The game does have a working Redeem Gift screen: press Esc on PC to open the main menu (not the phone menu), choose Redeem Gift, enter the code, and press Redeem. How to Redeem a Gift

If a legitimate code ever appears, this is the path:

Launch Starsand Island and load a save.
Press Esc on PC to open the main menu. Do not use the in-game phone menu — Redeem Gift is not there.
Select Redeem Gift.
Type or paste the code exactly as issued (one guide warns codes may be case-sensitive — unconfirmed officially).
Select Redeem.
Check both your inventory and the in-game mailbox for the reward.

Public Codes vs Private Kickstarter Rewards

These get confused constantly, so keep them separate:

Public Redeem Gift codes would work for any player in the in-game Redeem Gift box. None have been verifiably published as of our last check.
Kickstarter in-game item codes are private. The official Kickstarter FAQ states in-game items are sent to backers by email as codes at official release, and backer updates about reward delivery were posted on 18 August 2026. They belong to the backer's mailbox, not to code lists.
Platform keys (Steam keys, console keys, Amazon-channel keys) activate a copy of the game or DLC on a store. They never go into Redeem Gift.
DLC and thank-you packs (like the free Steam costume pack) are claimed through the store and then an in-game kiosk at the Community Center, per player reports — again, not Redeem Gift.
